“Hi, my name is Ace. The shelter staff thinks I might be about 7 years
- It feels like I have been here a very, very long time, probably ’cause I’m a pup. The staff says I came to live here a year and half ago and maybe to humans that is not a long time but to a pup that does not have a family and lives in a kennel in the shelter, that is forever!
I am very well-mannered, I understand basic commands, and I will give you my paw if you ask. I can’t prove that to many people because no one comes and asks to see me like they do the other pups. The staff says that it is because I am a pit bull and some humans are scared of them. I’m not scary…I am gentle and I love to cuddle.
I am good with children, I really like them and I am excellent on leash. I love walkies and I love tennis balls and I love treats. I like to keep my kennel very clean and I never potty in it. I can’t have fluffy, stuffed toys, I eat them. I can’t live somewhere that has cats ’cause I am just a little too interested in them and, because I have been alone so long, I should be the only pup in the house. I don’t want to be an outside dog…I don’t know exactly what that is, but other pups I have talked to said it means that the pup lives outside the house while the rest of the family lives inside the house. I want to live inside the house with the other family members.
I would love a family to spend my senior years with. I don’t ask for a lot, just a comfy place to rest my weary head in a home that is warm in the winter and cool in the summer, humans to cuddle with, a food dish, a water dish, and lots and lots of tennis balls.
I promise to take good care of my new family, can it be you?”
